2. Where is DroneView.be active?
We perform drone inspections throughout Belgium. For assignments in the Sint-Truiden (Duras) area, we do not charge travel costs. Outside this area, a travel fee of €0.60/km applies.
3. What happens during bad weather?
In case of rain or high winds, we reschedule the flight free of charge in consultation with you. Safety and image quality always come first.
4. Which cameras and drones do you use?
We have an extensive fleet for various missions:
- DJI M30T: Our flagship for industrial inspections with thermal camera and 200x zoom.
- DJI Inspire 2: The standard for high-end aerial photography and cinema-grade video.
- DJI Avata: For dynamic FPV shots and inspections in complex or confined spaces.
- Specialized sensors: We also use FLIR hand scanners and DC current clamps for ground measurements.
5. Can I watch live during the flight?
Yes, we provide an external screen on-site so you can follow live what the drone sees. Ideal for direct feedback during technical inspections.
6. How quickly will I receive the report or images?
In most cases, we deliver images and analysis within 2 business days. Urgent delivery is available upon request.
7. Is DroneView.be certified?
Yes, our pilots hold the required A1/A2/A3 certificates. We operate fully in accordance with Belgian and European drone regulations and handle all necessary permits.
8. What is the benefit of thermal imaging for solar panels?
Thermal imaging makes invisible heat differences (hotspots) visible, which is essential for detecting defects and fire hazards. We supplement this with a physical measurement at the inverter for 100% certainty.
9. Do you work throughout Limburg (Hasselt, Genk)?
Although based in Sint-Truiden, we are active daily in Hasselt, Genk, Tongeren, and the rest of Limburg. Our central location allows us to respond quickly across all of Belgium.
10. Are your reports accepted by insurers?
Yes. Our professional reports with radiometric data meet the requirements of insurers and safety advisors for the inspection and fire safety of PV installations.
11. Can a drone inspection help prevent fires?
Certainly. By finding defective cells or poor contacts (hotspots) early, we prevent them from developing into a fire risk. Our manual thermal scan at the inverter provides extra safety.
12. Can drones find heat leaks in roofs?
Yes, thermal drones are ideal for accurately mapping insulation problems and heat loss in homes and industrial buildings without physical contact with the roof.
13. What is the advantage of 3D mapping in construction?
3D scans allow us to measure terrain, monitor construction site progress, and perform accurate volume calculations for earthworks or stock management.
14. How is privacy guaranteed during a flight?
We strictly follow privacy legislation. Our cameras are only aimed at the object being inspected. If necessary, neighbors or license plates are blurred in post-processing.
